Clear your schedule from April 26 – May 3.

It’s a Tuesday in late April, in Denver, and you’re tearing across town to try a dish that might not exist, come Sunday. Why? The power of Mile High Asian Food Week, which returns to the Mile High City from Sunday, April 26, to Sunday, May 3, features its most expansive lineup of participating businesses to date.

Now in its fourth year, this highly anticipated weeklong celebration, organized by the Colorado Asian Culture & Education Network, has grown into a citywide crawl spanning 73 AANHPI-owned restaurants, food trucks, pop-ups, and beverage makers from Aurora to Colorado Springs (and it’s still expanding!).

The premise of the week is straightforward; from Sunday to Sunday, make the most of enjoying one-of-a-kind, one-off menu restaurant experiences and a chance to become immersed in a creative world of culinary offerings you can’t find anywhere else, any other time of year.

At Kokoro, the celebration is both personal and generous — a 40th anniversary marked by an equally bold 40% off. At Chopstix Fusion, you’ll find a sense of sophistication in elevated, intricate, and intentional dishes on a paced-out six-course tasting menu with dishes like Beer Chow Fun, Seafood Tofu in Clay Pot, and Dried Scallop Fried Rice, among others. Wild Taco is serving a Bulgogi Chopped Cheese Torta — Korean barbecue meets bodega classic by way of Mexico.

At the same time, Tum Yumz Food Truck reimagines birria through a Vietnamese lens with Bo Kho tacos (rich and aromatic, somewhere between bánh mì and quesabirria). And at Tea Street Parker, attend a special MHAFW book reading with co-author Beatrice Tebbe, for her children’s book Shapes at Dim Sum. Enjoy yum cha-style dim sum pastries and tea while you listen. And dessert fans will love the chance to check out the offerings at Sweet Thu-th Desserts, which feature colorful, fun cake pops in Ube, Pandan, Thai Tea, Mango, and Vietnamese Coffee flavors — Instagrammable and tasty.

But MHAFW isn’t just what’s already here – it’s also a chance to preview what’s still to come, in Denver’s up-and-coming, flavorful food scene.

Start making your plans now, because there’s just one week to make the most of trying this variety of dining outposts with their own unique dishes — some of which can’t (and won’t) be found again in the Front Range region (until… *maybe* next year’s Mile High Asian Food Week?).

Want to kick off the festivities, early?

On Saturday, April 25 from 4 – 8 p.m. head to Clayton Quad (3840 York St.) for the *free* inaugural RMASC Night Market. It’ll be an evening of food, culture, and community hosted by the Rocky Mountain AANHPI Student Coalition (RMASC), and sponsored by Mile High Asian Food Week, CACEN, Asian Girls Ignite, and Moonshot.

Celebrate this space where Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) youth can experience what it means to have their cultures represented, and appreciated, by the broader community.

This night market will feature cultural arts and crafts booths led by Denver metro high school students as well as a bonus sneak preview of Mile High Asian Food Week with a taste of what’s to come…

Bring a picnic blanket and relax on the quad, enjoying food and beverages for purchase from an impressive lineup of vendors:
